A federal judge in Tennessee orders two men described as white supremacists accused of plotting to kill BARACK OBAMA to remain behind bars, granting a defense request for more time to work on the case.

A magistrate on Thursday granted a defense request to delay a hearing for 20-year-old DANIEL COWART and 18-year-old PAUL SCHLESSELMAN. But he ordered the two defendants, who have been linked to a skinhead group, to stay behind bars.

Defense lawyers asked for more time to prepare for a hearing that will determine if the case is sent to a grand jury.

The two men are charged with possessing an illegal firearm, planning to steal weapons from a federally licensed gun dealer and threatening a presidential candidate.
