Usually most courts  give life sentences for sexual slavery. Hmm, looks like there’s a white collar side of everything.

Almost a year after the world found out ELIOT SPITZER had been paying $2,000 an hour for some upscale prostitutes, his pimp was sentenced to six months in prison.

Cecil “Katie” Suwal, 24, cried Friday morning as she was sentenced, but things could have gone much worse for her. Prosecutors were looking to get a 27-month incarceration, which is about what they’re looking to get out of Mark Brener, Suwal’s 63-year-old former boyfriend and senior partner in the pimping business.

Together Suwal and Brener ran the high-dollar escort ring Emporer’s Club VIP. But the two were far from equal. Suwal’s defense attorney, Alberto Ebanks explained that she was basically Brener’s crony, bearing the seriously disgusting tattoo: “Property of Mark Brener.”

Since breaking things off with the creepy old dude, Suwal has been moving in the right direction. Manhattan Federal Judge Barbara Jones commended her for going to “extraordinary lengths to put her life back on track.” And defense attorney Alberto Ebanks pointed out that Suwal got herself into college, where she received a 4.0 last semester. He says that she has “permanently severed the umbilical cord from Brener.”

It also seems encouraging that Suwal hasn’t turned into a total media whore like the girl Spitzer was actually paying for: Ashley Alexandra Dupre.

So she’s won me over. Here’s wishing young Katie a pleasant six months in a federal penetentiary, where I hope she won’t become anyone else’s “property.”
