deep, is how she sees him her sleep
She said, “I’m a very spiritual person and he’s come to me many of times in my dreams. But, I don’t think he’s happy at all, at all!”
“The unconscious is a funny thing”
Rapper Notorious B.I.G. had a close (if tumultuous) relationship with protégé and former girlfriend Lil’ Kim, much of which is documented in the biopic Notorious released in January. But Lil’ Kim recently told Rap Radar that the late rapper’s been communicating with her through her dreams since his death in 1997. And he’s not pleased.
When asked how Biggie would have felt about the film if he were alive, she said:
“I’m a very spiritual person and he’s come to me many of times in my dreams. But, I don’t think he’s happy at all, at all!… And Biggie was so much more than what they put him out to be in that movie. And to be honest with you, I know for a fact he’s not happy. He’s not satisfied at all. At all.
And regardless of the fact, everybody who is involved in this movie, he has love for. Everybody. But at the end of the day, he knows who’s who and what’s what. Believe that.
And let me tell you something, the way he’s feeling is going to come out. Like, trust me. Everything is going to come out later. You’re going to see who he really loved and the ones that’s standing up for him the right way is the ones representing him the right way.”
She went on to tell RapRadar how much she hated how she was portrayed in the movie by Naturi Naughton: “I wanted to get someone who actually knew me and knew my sexiness and knew my sophistication and who can pull it off. They basically sensationalized the movie around Lil’ Kim. I’m the only person that they’re like talking about.”
Interesting that the dream version of Notorious B.I.G. is as vehemently opposed to the film as Lil’ Kim has been from the beginning of the project. The unconscious is a funny thing.
