well …! at least it’s better than 10 years
“Everything I learned was through trial and error. I’ve learned lessons in my life to put in my music so people won’t make the same mistakes as I”
Another rapper’s jail time is another rapper’s journey.
Rapper T.I. (real name Clifford Harris Jr.) was formally sentenced today, getting one year and one day in prison due to a whole passel of federal weapons charges.
The Grammy award-winning artist worked out a plea deal with prosectors in Atlanta, and promised to use the experience to effect positive change, both in his music and his community. In a statement before the court, the “What You Know” rapper said:
“Today I would like to say thank you to some, and apologize to all. Everything I learned was through trial and error. I’ve learned lessons in my life to put in my music so people won’t make the same mistakes as I.”
The sentencing comes two years after T.I. was busted for trying to buy thousands of dollars in machine guns and silencers. The plea deal helped the platinum-selling artist avoid the – the ten years he could have faced if found guilty.
In the year since his arrest, he’s been traveling the country, doing community service and mentoring children in nearly 60 schools across America. The experience has been the basis for his MTV reality show, T.I.: Road to Redemption.
As part of the plea, he still needs to complete 470 more hours of community service. He has already served 305 days of his sentence via house arrest, so he’ll only have to do 60 days of actual jail time. He must report to prison by May. It’s unknown where specifically he’ll be serving.

I hope that the jail time does not hurt,TI’S spirit.I WISH HIM LUCK.
