“I would expect Chris Brown’s lawyer to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of Mr. Brown and the case will be set for a preliminary hearing probably in the next few weeks.”

Almost two months after allegedly beating and bruising his pop star girlfriend, RIHANNA, CHRIS BROWN is due in court to enter a plea on the felony charges against him.

The 19-year-old’s arraignment is scheduled for Monday afternoon. Rihanna’s lawyer, Donald Etra, told ABCNews.com Brown is expected to show up to court in Los Angeles with his lawyer, Mark Geragos.

“Chris Brown will be at the hearing,” Etra said. “I would expect Chris Brown’s lawyer to enter a not guilty plea on behalf of Mr. Brown and the case will be set for a preliminary hearing probably in the next few weeks.”

“Rihanna’s presence is not required, she will not be there,” he added. “Her involvement in the case is that she’s a witness, and she will do everything the district attorney asks her to do. At this time there has been no requirement for her to be in court, so she has not been in court.”
