Protesters held tea parties throughout the country, drawing thousands to demonstrate against the president’s economic policies
Taxpayers vs. Nay-sayers!
Today was tax day and it was the culmination of a conservative movement to protest President BARACK OBAMA’s economic policies (namely bailouts and taxes) by holding modern-day tea parties.
The tea parties took place in major cities all over the country, urged on by cable television and radio personalities such as Rick Santelli and Glenn Beck. The teabaggers, as they’ve come to be called, believe that Obama’s taxes are unfair because he’s using the money to bail out irresponsible home and business owners.
In Washington, DC, the Huffington Post reports that one such protest was shut down briefly after someone threw a box of tea bags onto the White House lawn. Police and Secret Service agents moved the crowd back from the area while they sent in a robot to inspect the package for explosives.
Meanwhile in Texas, Governor Rick Perry riled up protesters with a fiery speech in which he decried the Obama administration. Afterwards he gave a brief interview where he hinted that Texas might secede from the United States if Texans were forced to pay taxes they didn’t agree with.
For their part, Barack and Michelle Obama filed a joint return, claiming approximately $2.7 million in income with about one third of that going to income taxes. Barack earned $139,204 as a Democratic senator from Illinois. Barack was paid $2.5 million in royalties for his two books: Dreams from My Father and The Audacity of Hope.
This behavior is a disgrace ! These Racist people have some nerve protesting, when they sat on there a_s for eight years and did nothing while, the bush administration. MURDERED thousands of people, committed war crimes, destroyed our financial infrastructure and on top of everything and I mean EVERYTHING ! allowed Diebold and the supreme court to unjustly steal the election from Al Gore ! Obama, did not cause all the problems, he’s trying to clean up the mess, that Bush left behind. The Black race, was the original superior race, from the beginning of time, and no matter how hard, ( racist people ) try to destroy everything and everybody, they will never control the world, Never ! God created this planet, and GOD wanted variety in all things. If the Racist world, will stop trying to control everything, and work with other races as an united group, for the better of all mankind. Then maybe we wouldn’t have all the problems our planet is having now. If you were to take off our skin, the largest organ in the body , we would all look the same. If you were to give each and every man 50ft by 100ft of land, all the people of the planet would fit into the state of Texas. The country we live in, is built on 128 million murdered Indian people, and we put them out of there own country on reservations and kept the best agricultural land for our selfs . This country needs to some humility and we need to stop abusing freedom of speech and show the rest of the world were a united country, of all races and religions, and were doing all we can to work together. Texas is screaming that stupidness, because Canada, is independent of America. Texas had some of the worst storms, and they still continue to act ignorant. Maybe we should have Different separate money exchange one for our country and one for the world stage. We should all have a ID money exchange card, and totally do away with, currency as we know it today. The mortgage lender and holders did not default on there loans because they wanted to. People are loosing Jobs and Companies are going over seas. Family are suffering, there are starving, there cold, there’s not enough food to feed there babies. Our country is so unbalance and unfair to each other, I’m almost ashamed to call myself an American. We didn’t need to go to Iraq and destroy there country, poison there water, food, children, we lost billions of dollars going there and for what ? We have our own resources to tap into, we don’t need there oil. Obama is a young politician, he’s not seasoned yet, at lease he’s a fresh start and that’s what this country needs a fresh start. At home and on the world stage. We put the man in office to do a job, and everyday the Racist of America, complain, complain, complain ! you can’t have your cake and eat it too. Texas sounds stupid, if they were to become and independent state, Mexico would rape that state of everything. And the next bad storm that comes there way, O well there have to suffer all by there self. Bushes family is not going to give them a DIME to help them. So as the old saying go be careful what you wish for, you might not like it, if you get your wish.
