THE BLACK GENTS OF HOLLYWOOD, fresh from their Off-Broadway run of the hit play Webeime, produced by the legendary Negro Ensemble Company, are proud to announce their highly anticipated sophomore project Black Angels Over Tuskegee a play about the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II. “Six men chronicle the experiences of the first African American fighter pilots in the United States Army Air Corps who became the red tail Tuskegee Airmen.”

Black Angels Over Tuskegee written by NAACP award winner LAYON GRAY is a story told in narrative of six men embarking upon a journey to become pilots in the United States Army Air Corps. This powerful stag play, explores their collective struggle with Jim Crow, their intelligence, patriotism, dreams of an inclusive fair society, and brotherhood. It is a perfect vehicle to entertain, inspire and add perspective to a rarely heard chapter in American history.

Black Angels Over Tuskegee literally goes beyond the headlines of the popular stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and exposes the men who exhibited the courage to excel, in spite of all the overwhelming odds against them.
