BEYONCE won’t be performing Sunday in Malaysia, after all. The concert will be postponed organizers revealed today, but apparently she’ll be back at some soon-to-be announced later date. The singer rescheduled another concert there in 2007 after Islamic conservatives protested the show because of the singer’s racy reputation and “inappropriate” clothing choices. “Western sexy performances” are highly frowned upon.

However, sources claim the star’s decision not to go ahead with the show this week came solely from her. The statement announcing the can canceled show read (via The New York Times): “The postponement is solely (the) decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons.”

News of the no-go show comes as a little bit of a shock, considering sources a few weeks ago said the artist and the conservative groups had come to an “amicable understanding” as to what the “Bootylicious” singer could wear for the performance.
