Miami Police have released surveillance video of four armed men storming into a barber shop and attacking a local entertainer before robbing him. Police said four black males between the ages of 18 and 25 years old invaded a barber shop on July 29 where Opa-Locka rapper, “BRISCO”, was getting his hair cut.
The armed subjects ordered the employees and customers to the floor inside the shop located at 6301 Northwest Sixth Avenue. Article ImageOne of the men pistol-whipped “Brisco” and robbed him of his gold chain, watch, money and his sport utility vehicle. “There was a local rapper who had just left the photo shoot. He went to a barber shop to get his hair cut. They took a little bit more off the top then expected,” said Miami Police Officer Jeffery Giordano.
“This robbery was off the chain. Four men entered the store, guns drawn, firing shots, luckily no one was hurt, robbing each individual that was in the barber shop. For a rapper to have his bling stolen, they might have well stolen that man’s heart. They took his car also. He had a Range Rover. The vehicle was recovered in another location.”

The cop who arrested Skip Gates has gotten himself head-over-heels.
What began as a prominent African-American professor’s dispute with a white police sergeant grew more complex Thursday as the officer spoke publicly for the first time and a fuller portrait of his life emerged.
Sgt. James Crowley said Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. was combative from the moment the officer arrived at his house last week to respond to a call about a possible burglary. Contradicting the academic’s account, Crowley said Gates showed him not a driver’s license but a Harvard identification card that did not list his address. And Crowley said he warned Gates several times that he risked arrest.
“The second warning was with me holding a set of handcuffs in my hands — something I really didn’t want to do,” Crowley said in a radio interview. “The professor at any time could have resolved the issue by quieting down and/or going back inside his house.”
Crowley’s account came on a day of dizzying debate over his actions, a furor that was touched off by President Barack Obama’s remarks at a news conference Wednesday night, when he said the police had “acted stupidly” and linked Gates’ arrest to the nation’s long history of racial profiling.
The events drew Obama into the first racial controversy of his presidency. The personalized critique was highly unusual for any president and demonstrated the unique perspective Obama brings to the Oval Office.
Obama stood by his criticism, telling ABC News’ Terry Moran he was “surprised” his statement had sparked such controversy.
“I think it was a pretty straightforward commentary that you probably don’t need to handcuff a guy, a middle-aged man who uses a cane, who’s in his own home,” Obama told Moran in an interview on Nightline.
After reports of the incident surfaced in the media, the charge — disorderly conduct — was dropped.
On Thursday, the Cambridge police commissioner, Robert C. Hass, denied that the arrest was racially motivated and described the department as “deeply pained” by Obama’s criticism. “I do not believe his actions were in any way racially motivated,” Haas said.
“Sergeant Crowley is a stellar member of this department, and I rely on his judgment every day. He was thrust into a crime in progress, and he tried to work his way through situation.”

Officials say 63 suspected GANG MEMBERS have been arrested in the Los Angeles area in the largest gang bust in U.S. history.
Federal and local agents say they’ve indicted nearly 150 members of a predominantly Latino gang operating in the Hawaiian Gardens area. Raids are under way as officials search for the suspects.

Odessa, Florida — It’s an unthinkable crime: FOUR BOYS between the ages of 14 and 15 years old are accused of brutally assaulting a 13-year-old boy at school.
Hillsborough Sheriff investigators say the attack happened at Walker Middle School in Odessa. Detectives say on April 30th, the boys attacked the victim in the school locker room.

On camera Sunday afternoon, a mother drew a handgun, aimed it at the back of her son’s head, and pulled the trigger. Then she turned the gun on herself, ending a murder-suicide as quickly as it started.
Now Casselberry police are trying to determine why MARIE MOORE chose to end her son’s and her own life inside of the Shoot Straight gun range on Highway 17-92.
“That’s up for public interpretation at this point,” Deputy Chief Bill McNeil said. “I’m not a psychiatrist so I’m not even going to speculate on whether she was crazy.”
Police are in possession of notes and audio tapes from Moore explaining why she would kill her son and herself in a seemingly random act. In her own words, she was trying to “save my son.”
“We believe that she’d been planning this for a while,” Detective Mike Toole said, “though we don’t know how long at this point.”
She did it all with a rented gun, paid for at the gun range where she killed her 20-year-old son, Mitchell. McNeil said he’s never seen an incident of a shooting at Shoot Straight before.
Security cameras at the gun range revealed the crime exactly as it happened. Marie Moore was seen talking to a man in the next firing lane who appeared to instruct her on how to use her revolver. Marie Moore than waited until her son Mitchell began shooting at a target, and she then drew her gun and fired into the back of his head. Seconds later, she pointed the gun into her mouth and fired again.
Marie Moore would die later in an Altamonte Springs hospital. Mitchell Moore died at the scene.
Despite the lack of evidence of a motive at the crime scene, police do have clues as to the shooter’s mental state before the shooting. Family members turned over notes and audio tapes from Marie Moore in which she apologized for what she was about to do.
She said God had told her to do it, and that she needed to “send Mitchell to heaven and send myself to hell,” calling herself the Antichrist.
Marie Moore may not have been allowed to buy a handgun, because of a history of mental illness, including an alleged incarceration at a mental hospital for observation.
According to Toole, Moore was still legally allowed to rent a gun, which gave her access to the revolver she used to kill her son.
