Singer BEYONCE KNOWLES rented a lavish $4,000-a-night Charles Forte Presidential Suite at the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, UK, while performing nearby this week, but there just wasn’t enough space for her luggage. Tough life. After struggling to find space for her 12 bags, she finally had her entourage book a second room for her stuff.

A source at Liverpool’s Malmaison hotel, where the star took a $283-a-night room for her luggage, said: “She had seven suitcases, three hand-luggage bags and two boxes, all for her mammoth concert. In the cases there were, apparently, 14 dresses, lots of shoes, make-up and 25 wigs.”

It took four helpers to carry her luggage up the stairs to the room, which was situated close to the Liverpool Echo Arena, where she performed twice this week.

Beyonce is not the only singer who refuses to travel light. Last year, Mariah Carey flew to London for a three-day trip – and brought 20 suitcases with her. A source said at the time: “The guys at the airport seemed to be struggling under the load, but Mariah and her husband, Nick Cannon, just breezed straight through.”

50 CENT just doesn’t get it. What’s the big deal about CHACE CRAWFORD? The rapper and the Gossip Girl heartthrob just shot the movie Twelve together, and Fiddy was blown away by the number ladies who flocked to see the blue-eyed boy, not him!

“You should see how the girls go crazy over Chace,” he said (via E! Online). “I’d see these people standing around, jumping up and down, and I’d say, ‘What is going on? Did they see me?’ But then I’d see Chace standing outside. I need to get in on that.”

50 Cent might not be a fan of taking the back seat when it comes to being the leading ladies’ man, but he did have nice things to say about his co-stars convincing acting skills. “He was really, really good on set,” he said. “I mean, he’ll make you feel like he’s been in that actual drug-dealing lifestyle before.”

And Fiddy also talked about his unlikely friendship with singing sensation Bette Midler. “When I met her, I thought I was high — until my grandmother saw me in photographs and saw Bette Midler,” he said. “She said, ‘Baby, you made it! You’re doing good.’

Singer LEONA LEWIS is so over that recent incident when she was punched in the face by a fan. This beauty grew up in east London, so she swears she’s seen way worse.

She said: “I’m from Hackney, so I’m hard. I’m not going to let something like that bother me. When you grow up where I did you learn to move on. There was always some kind of craziness going on in my neighborhood. The boys were always fighting each other and there was loads of street crime. I know how to look after myself. The part of London where I grew up has the highest crime rates in the country.”

The “Bleeding Love” singer also said her long-term boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa was particularly angry about the attack because he hadn’t been there to protect her. She added to Britain’s The Sun newspaper: “It brought out his protective side. It’s horrible, no matter who you are, to be physically attacked by someone, but I’m not letting it worry me.”

Following the incident, which took place at a book signing in London last month, Peter Kowalczyk, 29, from Waterloo, south London, was charged with common assault but later deemed unfit to face magistrates and has since been sectioned.

RIHANNA will release her new album Rated R later this month, and she’ll debut a slightly darker side of her personality on the latest tracks, since many of the songs were written in the aftermath of the Chris Brown assault. Needless to say, she has some butterflies in her stomach about performing the new material. She said:

There are a lot of butterflies, a lot of excitement. I’m anxious. Like, I can’t wait. But you’re always nervous, because you’re about to go do something big. It’s a new thing, a new era. But I’m not scared. I’m just really excited. I just can’t wait to start.

My first time performing the songs was on Sunday night in Los Angeles with Jay-Z. We did ‘Run This Town’ and ‘Hard,’ and I kept thinking, ‘Why the hell am I so nervous?’ And I couldn’t figure it out. But then I knew why: It was the first time performing one of my new songs.

Marking her new era, Rihanna looked radiant when she stepped out in New York on Monday night to accept a Woman of the Year award. The hitmaker was one of several high-profile females – including author Maya Angelou, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife Maria Shriver, designer Stella McCartney, tennis star Serena Williams and comedienne Amy Poehler – honored by Glamour magazine.

First Lady Michelle Obama was given an award of special recognition for bringing the importance of mentoring to the forefront. The honorees are chosen by a board of former winners, including Jennifer Lopez, and awards were presented at a special ceremony at Carnegie Hall.`

Cheaters never prosper … is what some would say!

According to court papers, wife Va’shaundya “Shaunie” O’Neal filed for legal separation from the Cleveland Cavaliers player in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, TMZ.com reports.

She cites irreconcilable differences for the demise of her seven-year marriage to the 37-year-old athlete.

In addition to asking for an unspecified amount of money for spousal and child support, Shaunie is also seeking sole custody of the couple’s four minor children, ages 3 to 9, with visitation rights for O’Neal.

Though the couple lives in Florida, Shaunie claimed she’s a resident of California, which has more generous community property divorce provisions.

According to People.com, Shaunie recently flew to Los Angeles and claimed herself a resident of The Golden State on Nov. 8, one day before filing the separation papers.

This is the second split for Shaunie and Shaq, who originally filed for divorce in 2007.

The couple, who reportedly have a prenuptial agreement, eventually reconciled after a bitter dispute over whether or not he was hiding money from her.

She said: “I really admire Marilyn Monroe but I would never try to emulate her. I got the tattoo as a warning. It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down.”

Megan, who is often voted the world’s sexiest woman, also said she experiences sexism on movie sets and is judged just because she is a woman.

She added to Germany’s Bunte magazine: “I don’t feel I’m treated equally. If you are a woman and arrive on the set and you are introverted – because you are shy or self conscious – and you don’t embrace everyone who works on the set you are regarded as an arrogant diva or even as a cocky b***h. If men are introverted it’s cool. They are considered to be pensive, valuable method actors. What a double standard!”
