how the east was won!
The rapper’s album ‘Blueprint’ came in at the 22nd spot, while The Strokes’ ‘This This It’ topped the entire list.

HOTT NEWS!
Jigga! My N*gga!
JAY-Z’s album Blueprint made it on music magazine NME’s list of the top 50 albums of the decade, coming in at 22 — which is no small feat, considering there’s just a few albums that get released in a 10-year span. Rockers The Strokes’ Is This It topped the entire list. The results were compiled from votes from record producers, label execs and musicians, including members of Radiohead and Arctic Monkeys, who both rank highly.
Troubled rocker Pete Doherty saw three of his albums make the list, with his former band The Libertines coming in second place with their debut effort Up The Bracket. The group’s second, and final, self-titled release was placed at number 24, while his other band Babyshambles saw their debut record Down In Albion achieve 35th place.
NME Editor Krissi Murison said: “This is the definitive word on the greatest albums of the ‘00s – as voted for by everyone who helped make music brilliant this decade.”
Veteran rockers Primal Scream came in third place with Xtrmntr, while Arctic Monkeys’ debut album Whatever People Say I am, That’s What I’m Not was fourth and Fever To Tell by group Yeah Yeah Yeahs came fourth. The “Maps” hitmakers were one of 6 to have two LPs make the list, with Show Your Bones placed at 32.
In addition to Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Libertines, Radiohead, The White Stripes, Arcade Fire and The Streets all saw two records make it into the top 50. The best represented year of the decade was 2002, with a total of 8 albums released in the year placed in the list.

SNOOP! “I’M THE KING OF SHOW BUSINESS!”

run-dmc: “i’m the king of rock!” … LOL!
“There were a lot of important mentors in my life,” he said in an interview with CNBC (via OMG)

HOTT NEWS!
And you better recognize!
There’s a lot more to SNOOP DOGG than you might think. The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper is a family man, a business man, and spends his time mentoring kids. He even got to ring the NY Stock Exchange bell today in honor of the second annual Mentoring Madness program.
“There were a lot of important mentors in my life,” he said in an interview with CNBC (via OMG). Whether it was the school people, the counselors, my preachers, my peers, older guys who had been in trouble before me who recognized my talent and just didn’t was see me go through the same situations that they went through.”
Now he’s giving back. He said he was on the wrong path when he was younger, too, but is successful today because he wised up and started studying and playing his cards right. “I dibbled and dabbled into crime in the beginning of my, you know, stages of adolescence as a young man,” he said. “And once I did, I seen that that wasn’t the ride that I wanted to take.”
Since that decision, we’d say he’s done pretty well for himself, after coming on the rap scene in 1993 alongside Dr. Dre. Now he says his priorities have changed a bit from music. Now his thing is his business, and brand. Snoop said, “at the time, it was music, and then once it shifted to business because it was told me that this is called show business. Always had the show, but I never had the business. And once I got the business, now I’m the king of show business.”
Snoop, who was born Cordazar Calvin Broadus, also dished on how he got his stage name. “As a kid born in the ’70s, mom used to put on a TV show called Charlie Brown,” he said. “And there was a character on there named Snoopy. And I used to love him to death. And my mama said I started to look like him so much ’cause I watched him all the time, and that’s what they used to name me.” It stuck.

CHRIS BROWN! “I LOVE WOMEN!”
// November 17th, 2009 // 1 Comment » // Hott News
really! so why do you hit them!
“I’ve just kinda been working on me. Like I said, just really getting me straight.“

HOTT NEWS!
He said it! But does he mean it!
CHRIS BROWN says he’s not dating yet, he’s just been “chillin.” Yep, that’s it. We guess between getting his new album and tour ready and putting in all that community service time, he hasn’t had a chance to get back in the dating scene. Oh, and he said he’s been working on “setting himself straight,” too.
But, it doesn’t sound like it’ll be long before he’s back on the prowl. “I mean, I’m Chris Brown,” he said in an MTV News interview (via People.com). “I’m not saying it like that, but it’s just, like, girls are gonna be around. I love women. But I would say I’ve just been chillin’.
I haven’t really been trying to get into a relationship or trying to date anybody. I’ve just kinda been working on me. Like I said, just really getting me straight.”
Chris and Rihanna recently, and separately, just started to talk publicly about the assault in February that left his then-girlfriend pretty banged up. Part of Chris’ sentence is that he has to stay away from the songstress for 5 years.
