Precious, the little indie film that could, is finally hitting theaters this month, after more than a year of near-constant buzz about triumphant performances by Mo’Nique and a mustachioed Mariah Carey. Also starring in the film is the beautiful PAULA PATTON, who has looked nothing short of radiant at all of the film’s promotional events.

At the Los Angeles premiere over the weekend, Ms. Patton (singer Robin Thicke’s wife) wore a lovely violet corseted dress by Bottega Veneta. She paired the dress with some strappy sandals and an interesting pearl necklace and earrings set (although I’m not sure they really work with the edginess of those sandals). Patton showed off the jewels with a sleek, sophisticated low bun.

BAD-GIRL supermodel Naomi Campbell has over-powered the big-hitters of style with a demonstration of why she’s “the best walker on the catwalk”.

Designers Matthew Williamson and Antonio Berardi made their hotly anticipated return to London Fashion Week yesterday, injecting serious glamour into the event as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.

But Campbell proved, at the age of 39, that supermodel is still the most sought-after label, with a leggy display of outfits by Issa’s Daniella Helayel.

“Naomi is pure hurricane – she’s the best walker on the catwalk, she’s the sunshine after the storm,” Helayel was reported as saying. “Every time she walks, the audience screams and claps. I’m very pleased she wanted to wear three outfits, as she only wears what she likes. She is the top model in swimwear, and looks better than any 21-year-old I know.”

Williamson, a New Yorker for the past seven years, presented typically colourful and sexy dresses enhanced by intricate beading, metallic fabrics and shards of mirrors.

“It’s great that he’s coming back to London. I wish they’d all come back to London. That’s where they originated, that’s where they trained,” said Twiggy, the model who became the face of the 1960s.

Big names have boosted the six-day London Fashion Week after years of struggling for prestige against the big guns of Paris, New York and Milan.

British-Italian Berardi, who has been showing in Paris since 2005, returned home with a collection that maintained his trademark miniskirts, with dresses sculpted from the waist outwards, matched with bustiers. The designers’ return, alongside Pringle of Scotland and Burberry, has caused huge excitement – even if it is unclear whether they will stay after the celebrations end.

Sorry, Kanye West fans – the much-anticipated collection of sneakers Kanye designed for Louis Vuitton has already sold out. If you weren’t on a waiting list, you probably don’t have a pair.

It was rumored earlier this week that Louis Vuitton was pushing back the sale date on the kicks, which Kanye has named The Jaspers, The Dons, and Mr. Hudson, but it now appears that they actually were in stores today, for a brief moment in time. A salesperson at a NYC Louis Vuitton store told The Cut people had been inquiring about the shoes since January.

But don’t feel too sad – did you really want to spend $1,140 on a pair of sneakers? Because that’s how much The Jasper would have cost you.

Meanwhile, it’s been rumored that Kanye is currently interning at The Gap in New York City. Maybe there are some affordable Kanye-inspired items coming at us in the near future?

Last night’s BET Awards were a fairly somber event in the wake of Michael Jackson’s death on Thursday. The clothes, however, were anything but somber. Thank goodness.

The GOOD!

Alicia Keys’ Jenny Packham dress is perfect for the BET Awards – it’s shiny and eye-catching, but it’s not ridic.

Zoe Saldana was gorgeous in a structured white Calvin Klein dress and Brian Atwood heels. I’m loving the gentle curls, but I have the feeling she’s hiding an interesting neckline under all that hair.

Kanye West and his girlfriend Amber Rose (guess they’re still together) kept it simple: he in lumberjack boots, she in a white mini dress and a pair of hot pink pumps.

A leather dress in June? Whatever, Ciara looks hot in it.

Speaking of hot, check out Tatyana Ali! Someone give this girl a comeback, stat.

I have the feeling Estelle won’t be the only one wearing a white glove in the coming months.

Tyra Banks’ silky blouse and slacks look like something Michael Jackson might have worn in the early mid-90s, so she gets a pass.

I actually think Keri Hilson’s sparkly dress is pretty HOTT! – it does amazing things for her body, but her two-toned hair is just bringing her down.

Beyoncé loves her Balmain, so this isn’t particularly surprising. She’s gotta bring the fierce, right? But as Olivia puts it, “She can be fierce without being like, a crotch shot.” I bet she had trouble walking:
