JAY-Z is looking to limber up. He says he is jealous of Coldplay singer Chris Martin’s smooth moves and flexibility on stage. The “99 Problems” rapper might even take up yoga. The hip-hop star, who is good friends with Chris and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow, said:

I try and work out four times a week, cardio, weights, push ups, pull ups, but I haven’t for a month because of vacation and touring. Chris hasn’t tried to get me to do yoga yet but I am close to doing it. I’m envious of what he can do on stage. Watching him is amazing, he can really move. I want to be able to move like that, get my leg behind my ear, things like
that.

The rapper is married to singer Beyonce Knowles, who also knows what it’s like to spend most of her time away from home. Jay-Z says he enjoys life on the road but admits he misses the little things about being at home. He added: “I miss my bed, the comfort of your own bed, there’s nothing like it. I only trust my own sheets. I don’t take my own with me though.”

Jay-Z‘s Friday concert was meant to raise money for the widows and orphans of New York City cops and firefighters who died in the line of duty, but scalpers are selling tickets online (originally $54.50) for up to $45,000.

JAY-Z has deliberately kept ticket prices for his Friday concert at Madison Square Garden low at $54.50, since the show is meant to benefit the widows and orphans of New York City cops and firefighters who died in the line of duty. That’s why he was furious when all 20,000 tickets sold out in just moments and started appearing on the Web for $200, $3,000 and even up to $45,000 each on one site.

The rapper said in a statement:

We are truly disheartened that certain individuals would choose to benefit from what is meant to be a 100% charitable event. We do not support any profits made from reselling any ticket that was meant to be purchased by honest fans.

Tickets were consciously made available for sale as close to the concert date as possible to avoid traditional scalping.

Organizers of the concert had hoped to raise more than $750,000 for the widows’ and children’s fund, but clearly this isn’t quite what they had in mind. Plenty of fans told the New York Daily News that they had tried to buy tickets for the show, but no affordable ones were left available even early on in the ticket sales. The concert will air on the Fuse network for those who still want to see it, but it’s still not nearly as cool as seeing the “special guests” Jay-Z was lining up live.

Rihanna will join Kanye West and Jay-Z on ‘The Jay Leno Show’ mid-September.

The music industry is so happy! So … so! Happy!

“Umbrella” singer Rihanna will appear on the The Jay Leno Show on September 14, alongside hip-hop stars Kanye West and Jay-Z. The trio are expected to perform their new single “Run This Town.” Tom Cruise is also in negotiations to appear on the program.

Rihanna, 21, has kept a low profile since she was assaulted by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown in February. Chris pleaded guilty to the attack in June and was sentenced to five years’ probation, 180 days of community service and ordered to attend an anti-domestic violence program. He is also banned from going within 50 yards of Rihanna.

But the singer recently announced she wants Chris’ court order downgraded to a level-one protective restraining order.

Her lawyer Donald Etra said:

That order would prevent Chris from annoying, molesting or harassing her. That level-one order would fully protect her.

The order in effect now is a stay-away order preventing them from coming within 50 yards of each other.

But Rihanna’s position from the beginning is that there was no need for that level of protective order. Chris’s scheduled formal sentencing hearing on Wednesday was postponed until August 27 after the judge ruled she was not satisfied with the terms of his community labor order.

Hip-hop mogul JAY-Z is set to write a book, but his wife BEYONCE KNOWLES insists it’s not an autobiography, as he would never divulge secrets about their relationship.

She said:

I think he’s doing a book – but it is not a biography.

A book about our love story is never going to happen.

The “99 Problems” rapper is not the first celebrity to write a non-autobiographical book. Madonna has released a series of children’s books, with titles including The English Roses, Mr. Peabody’s Apples and Yakov and the Seven Thieves. The books strive to teach lessons Madonna has learned through her involvement in Kabbalah — a mystical off-shoot of Judaism — as well as lessons she has learned throughout her life.

In 2007, Geri Halliwell signed a six-book deal to write a series of children’s novels based on the adventures of nine-year-old Ugenia Lavender and her friends. The first book was released last year and the former Spice Girl described the book as “a rebirth of girl power.”

The damage? A whopping $12,000 in bar tabs. Life is good in the VIP area, but considering Jay-Z earned $35 million last year, he can afford a BIG night out.

Said an onlooker:

”Everyone was trying to get into their area to get a glimpse of them but the security was so tight, many were left standing-by a roped area trying to sneak a peek.

As she left the VIP area she looked in high spirits – but she kept her head down as she made her way out of the club at 3am, avoiding questions from fans as to how she was doing.”

Noticeably absent from the outing was Jay-Z’s lovely wife BEYONCE. Guess she’s not the jealous type.

R&B singer BRANDY NORWOOD is in search of a new record deal.

DATZHOTT! learned that the 30-year-old singer was just dropped by her label Epic Records because of the lackluster sales from her comeback CD, ‘Human.’

Released on Dec. 8, 2008, the CD has only sold 196,509 units to date according to SoundScan.

“Her friend Brandon Creed that works as an A&R representative at Epic Records has been making calls to see if other labels would be interested in signing her,” a record company source revealed.

In addition, Brandy has also parted ways with her management.

The former ‘Moesha’ star had been represented in recent months by Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Management.

The McComb, Miss.-bred singer’s relationship with Roc Nation supposedly dissolved because of “creative differences.”
