Hopefully KANYE WEST celebrates responsibly this weekend — a court commissioner agreed to drop all the charges against the artist for his run-in with paparazzi at the airport last September, so he’s definitely got reason to rejoice.

He’ll avoid the misdemeanor for smashing a cameraman’s pricey piece of equipment, and instead agreed to complete 50 hours of community service. His attorney says he’ll spend the time helping out at the Red Cross. Oh, and he says they’re “very pleased” with the dismissal (via E! Online). Ya think?

Apparently Kanye’s already completed 12 hours of anger-management classes, too. We’re assuming they were after the whole Taylor Swift showdown? Or maybe they don’t teach manners there. Either way, he’s off the hook.

It was pretty likely that this would be the outcome, given no one was seriously injured in the altercation, and the charges were dropped down from felonies to misdemeanors 6 months after the episode. Clearly no one was in a big hurry to take Kanye off the streets after the incident. And, it helps that the rapper doesn’t have a wrap sheet.

A day doesn’t go by without writing about Yeezy! … LOL!

NBC has announced that country sweetheart Taylor Swift will be hosting Saturday Night Live on November 7. Most gossip sites believe — and TAYLOR herself has hinted — that this would be a perfect time to get back at KANYE WEST for his diss at the VMAs last month.

Always gracious, Taylor has called the SNL opportunity “mind-blowing” in a statement. Although she appeared on the show in January, next month will be her first time to host it. According to People, she said, “I love being around people who I feel have a different kind of creative genius. And the funny genius is definitely a fascinating one to be around.”

And really, what better way to exhibit “funny genious” than taking a stab at Kanye via SNL? The rapper, who famously interrupted Taylor’s acceptance speech at the VMAs to say that Beyonce should have won instead, won’t be arround to interrupt this time — and Taylor seems determined to gain a few laughs at his expense.

She said, “I’ve been thinking about skit ideas for a long time. There are definitely some hilarious things that have happened to me over the past couple of months that I think will be pretty substantial skits.”

The show must go on: LADY GAGA isn’t going to let a little KANYE meltdown and their canceled joint tour get her down. She just announced that she’s still planning on performing in November, even without her show-stealing buddy. This is great news for fans, but we just wish she was touring earlier — we’re sure her concert would be a great place to pick up Halloween costume ideas. Oh well.

Kanye and the blonde songstress announced just days ago that their Fame Kills tour was off. There wasn’t a really clear explanation, but we guess it might have something to do with that little Taylor Swift incident, and the giant bottle of booze he brought on stage with him. He seems to be struggling with life a tad; he said on the Jay Leno Show a few weeks ago: ” I [want to] live, this thing is hard.”
