Pop star SHAKIRA is famous for her otherworldly hip movements, but she swears her dancing skills are just something she was born with. The Columbian beauty said: “For me, it was, and is, more of a natural thing. It’s something that was practically given to me at birth, and for which I never had to train myself. These movements, they are inside me and I can call them back whenever I need them.”

Shakira realizes she is a sex symbol to men all over the world but insists she is “flattered” that guys find her attractive because she has never believed she is a beautiful woman. She added: “I must confess that I feel very flattered — because I never have felt particularly sexy. Anybody who shows me like this is promoting my feminine vanity.”

But Shakira, who appears virtually naked in the video for “She Wolf,” admits it’s not easy looking as good as she does, and she has to stick to a rigorous training regime to stay slim and sexy.

She added to German magazine Fit For Fun: “I trained really hard for the “She Wolf” video — almost a month. I wanted to look good and didn’t want to shame myself. There was no muscle in my body that did not hurt. I was in pain for days, simply because I’d gone too far.”

It’s finally over!

USHER was back in the dating pool as of Wednesday, when his 2-year marriage to his former hair stylist TAMEKA FOSTER was finalized after a long court ordeal.

n June, Usher supposedly filed for divorce, claiming (via People magazine) there was “no reasonable hope of reconciliation” and their union was “irretrievably broken.” Seems straightforward enough, right? Wrong.

Then, Tameka went to the court in Georgia with a whole different story. She said she “had every reason to believe her marriage was intact” and even said they had been “intimate” not long ago.

Somehow things got resolved and the divorce went through after over 5 long months, so now the two can go their separate ways. Well, except for the whole issue of their 2 toddler kids, Usher Raymond V, who is about to turn 2, and Naviyd Ely, who is just shy of a year. Guess it’s not really the end.

When her label EMI had worries about the commercial appeal of her new album, the singer says she nearly had to hock her home in order to get the thing out the door.

Singer JOSS STONE was so sure that her new record Color Me Free would be a hit, she was willing to do anything to get it out the door. When parent company EMI began to hedge its bets, worried about the commerical appeal of the material on the record, Stone went so far as to offer up her own home as a way making sure the record saw the light of day.

Says Stone, “It got to the point where I said, ‘Take my house and release the record’. The thing is, I just made an album and I wanted people to like it. I did not think anything of it. Why did it have to be a big deal? Why does it have to focus on being a number one song? F— that, I can’t be bothered.”

EMI eventually agreed to release Color Me Free, but refused to release any of their budget to promote the release. Despite the setbacks, Joss remains positive about her chances of the LP doing well.

She added: “EMI were running a business. It’s not about you having a lovely time in the studio… so it’s got a low budget? That’s fine by me. I just wanted to have artistic freedom. I’m tired of all the silliness. We will cross our fingers and see what we can muster. We’ll maybe see what we can do ourselves.”

Virtual hoo-rahs and applauses, all around! LOL!

VH1 presented the world premiere of the music video for NORAH JONES “Chasing Pirates” yesterday, and will air on VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown at 9AM ET on Saturday, October 31. “Chasing Pirates” is the lead single from Jones’ highly anticipated upcoming album The Fall, which will be released by EMI’s Blue Note Records on November 17.

The video, which was shot in Jones’ hometown of New York City, was directed by Rich Lee, who has worked on the visual effects for all three of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. Lee has also directed music videos by everyone from Fergie (“Clumsy”) to Michael Buble (“Haven’t Met You Yet”). Jones has also announced a first run of TV appearances around the release of The Fall. The multiple Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter will be appearing on CBS Late Show With David Letterman (November 11), Comedy Central The Colbert Report (November 18), and ABC Good Morning America (November 16) and The View (November 23).

“Chasing Pirates,” which was featured on Rolling Stone’s “Hot List,” immediately announces a new direction for Jones. Entertainment Weekly wrote that “’Chasing Pirates’ is a bluesy surprise and welcome change of pace,” adding that “Jones’ voice remains as lovely as ever.”
