LEVI JOHNSTON, the father of BRISTOL PALIN’s son, believes he knows what was behind Alaska Governor SARAH PALIN’s choice to resign.

Johnston says he lived with the Palin family from early December until the second week in January. During his stay, he claims, he often heard Gov. Palin remark how it would be nice to cash in on some of the deals coming her way, including a reality show and a book. Johnston said at a recent news conference, “I think the big deal was the book. That was millions of dollars.”

Palin could use a couple million, as she claims to have racked up $500,000 in legal fees.

Needless to say, Palin’s camp has shot down Levi’s speculation. Palin family spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton wrote in an e-mail to the Associated Press, “It is interesting to learn Levi is working on a piece of fiction while honing his acting skills.”

Following former Alaska Governor SARAH PALIN’s surprise resignation Friday, she’s doing the talk show circuit to answer questions about her future in politics. Tuesday morning, Palin spoke to NBC, ABC and CNN to talk about how her resignation will affect that future.

“I said before … ‘You know, politically speaking, if I die, I die. So be it,’” she said on ABC’s Good Morning America when asked about how her resignation would hurt her prospects. Since Friday, Palin has gone from being a 2012 presidential contender to being the worst trainwreck the Republican party has ever known.

Still, Palin told CNN that “all options are on the table” for her future.

Playing to her folksy roots, the former governor appeared in fishing waders while being interviewed in the town of Dillingham. Friday, she said that being mired in costly litigation over multiple ethics complaints had paralyzed her politically and she was unable to continue as governor. Palin characterized her resignation as being what was best for her career and for the state of Alaska.

“I’m not going to take the comfortable path. I’m going to take the right path for the state,” she said.

Former Vice Presidential nominee SARAH PALIN resigned from her post as Alaska’s Governor on Friday. At a press conference held outside her Wasilla, Alaska home, Palin confirmed what had already been rumored by GOP insiders: she will not run for a second term, and she’ll be out of the governor’s office by the end of the month. She explained, “I am not wired to operate under the same old ‘politics as usual.’”

A harried-looking Palin did not offer a clear reason for her decision to step down. She repeatedly asserted that she was doing what was right for Alaska. She also said her decision was influenced by a recent trip to Kosovo, as well as the wishes of her family.

Sarah looks a lot smarter when she’s tee’d off! Maybe she should get angry more often! LOL!

It turns out that the National Organization for Women (NOW) would agree with Palin. The liberal organization showed its support for the conservative politician by skewering Letterman on its Web site Friday.

Still angry over some of DAVID LETTERMAN’s decidedly off-color jokes about her trip to New York, SARAH PALIN spoke with Matt Lauer on the Today show Friday morning.

Cutting Letterman no slack after a 7-minute explanation delivered on his Wednesday night show, the Alaska governor told Lauer it was a sad commentary on what our society deems acceptable when we’re willing to laugh at such offensive material. Palin has taken particular issue with Letterman joking that her daughter was “knocked up” by Alex Rodriguez during the 7th-inning stretch at a Yankees game. She says Letterman was joking about her 14-year-old daughter, Willow, but Lauer pointed out that Letterman says the joke was in reference to her 18-year-old daughter, Bristol.

“Matt I would say that you and, and anybody else are extremely naive to believe that very convenient excuse of David Letterman’s the other day,” she said in response. “It took a couple days for him to think of that excuse — uh no he wasn’t talking about my daughter who was there with me at the game, the 14-year-old. He was talking about some other daughter.”

Wow-sers! Like what’s up with the Palins and all of the teenage pregnancy.

Score none for the conspiracy theorists who said BRISTOL PALIN wasn’t really pregnant: People reports the eldest Palin daughter, 18, gave birth to a baby boy yesterday in Palmer, Alaska. In keeping with her parents’ tradition of unique names, Bristol named her son (with boyfriend of three years Levi Johnston, also 18) TRIP EASTON MITCHELL JOHNSTON.

Levi Johnston told the Associated Press several months ago that he and Bristol planned to be wed in 2009. He is currently studying to become an electrician, while she is working towards her high school diploma through correspondence classes.

Congratulations to Bristol and Levi – and, of course, to Gov. Palin. She may not be our next Vice President, but it’s pretty exciting to become a grandmother, too. From this point forward the Palins should take a step away from politics and stick with the breeding. LOL!

But why?

She may not have won the election, but SARAH PALIN isn’t taking a ride on the Bridge to Nowhere. She might just have a shot at Washington after all — in the senate.
If Stevens makes it to the senate, it becomes highly likely that his colleagues will be tossing his wrinkled ass out like so much garbage.

Here’s how it works. TED STEVENS is currently clinging to a narrow lead as ballots continue to be counted in his senate reelection campaign. As you may know, Stevens was recently found guilty of corruption charges and no one thought that as a convicted felon he could retain his senate seat. Beyond all reason, he is winning.

If Stevens makes it to the senate, it becomes highly likely that his colleagues will be tossing his wrinkled ass out like so much garbage.

And then Alaska has a vacant senate seat. What happens then? Glad you asked.

When a senate seat becomes vacant, it’s generally up to the state’s governor to appoint someone to that seat. But Alaska has had some problems with that. A few years back, former Alaska governor Frank Murkowski pissed off the state legislature by appointing his daughter to the senate seat he vacated.

After that, the state legislature passed a law requiring a special election to be held to fill vacant senate seats.

Fast forward to McCain/Palin losing and Ted Stevens winning.

It’s no secret that Sarah Palin has her eye on a 2012 presidential run. And staying in Washington might help her grease the wheels. (It’s hard to reach those D.C. wheels from Alaska.)

So Stevens’ win creates an interesting opportunity for Sarah Palin. She could go from Governor Sarah Palin to Senator Sarah Palin. And I’m guessing she likes the sound of that. The pitbull-in-lipstick has made no attempts to hide her national ambitions. Washington Post “Sleuth” Mary Ann Akers predicts that “she would certainly be a front-runner in any race.”

You can debate whether it’s better to be governor or senator. But at the end of the day, only one delivers the kind of national experience and beltway access that makes people start seeing you as a viable presidential contender.

The situation keeps Alaska interesting for all of us political junkies going into post-election withdrawal. So it’ll be fun to keep an eye on this.

Oh, okay. Now we get it. SARAH PALIN is a stealth Democrat!

I can’t believe it. This woman is so stupid she’s made the right choice LOL!

At first we were puzzled to see Governor Palin wearing a scarf decorated with the symbol of Democrats, exhorting people to vote.

Could it be that the Republican Vice Presidential candidate is unaware or unfamiliar with this basic political iconography?

But of course that’s impossible!

The only plausible answer is that she’s wearing the “Vote for the Donkey” scarf on purpose. It’s a not-so-secret code, telling voters that she, too, has fallen under the spell of Barack Obama’s message of hope, and plans to vote for him and Joe Biden.

We never would have suspected her of being so clever, but what a great idea. And so stylish!

Yet, if she really want to impress the crowd. She should rock one of those blinged out Barack Obama tee-shirts that Russell Simmons wore at the BET Hip Hop Awards.

BTW, shouts out to the Global Grind Network for taking the intiative to make Obama’s hope for change a soon-to-be reality.

I don’t know if I’m excited or disgusted.

SARAH PALIN has since been receiving a lot of positive and negative hits since joining presidential hopeful John McCain. In fact, it may be safe to say that Palin has overtaken McCain as far as popularity ratings and attention is concerned. It is a good thing that she is running for vice president and not president since rather than an ally, McCain may be going up against tough competition.

Thanks to her popularity, people have viewed Palin in different ways. Such is the projection of this Chicago bar owner who seems to have fitted everything in one painting, a nude image of Sarah Palin and what she stands for.

Old Town Ale House has some new wall art. The portrait was done by Bruce Elliot, bar owner, and he said of the piece, “I don’t see how [Palin] could be offended by this. I made her into a sex figure.”

People, four to eight years of this? Please vote.
